The latest release from Just Movement welcomes Stage Van H back to the label for a brand new single. The Amsterdam based artist has been core part of the Dutch imprint since debuting on the label in 2014. Now following up his remix of Jacob Singer’s ‘Trappist One’ from March, Stage returns to Just Movement for a brand single alongside remixes from Analog Jungs and Pilato.
In many ways it was Stage who defined the Just Movement sound in the label’s early years. His warm grooves and timeless melodic qualities are a hallmark of the label and his latest entitled ‘Purple Dreams’ is no different. Over nine enchanting minutes Stage works a variety of serene components, all backed by a smooth, rolling groove. Soulful vocal pads and luminous synths prove to be the highlight, making it one of the Dutch artist’s most memorable tracks to date.
The first interpretation is provided by Analog Jungs who are making their label debut. The Argentinean duo put their own twist on the track while retaining it’s pure progressive sensibility. The reshaped groove brings some extra funk while the newfound melodic elements result in massive seaside appeal. Jangly hooks and timely chord changes make for a multitude of magic moments, culminating during a euphoric final act.
The release concludes with Pilato also making his label debut. The US artist opts for a dubbier approach which complements the previous two versions quite well. Smooth lines and glowing atmospheres are the order of the day across the eight minute journey. A dreamy final break ultimately seals it’s brilliance, foreshadowing an astral finale. A brilliant remix from Pilato which rounds out another gorgeous release from Stage Van H and Just Movement
