The latest release from Just Movement welcomes Marcelo PM back to the label for his debut EP. The Argetinean artist made his first appearance on the Dutch imprint in July of this year with a contribution to the label’s ‘Summer Sampler’. Also laying claim to well received releases on 3rd Avenue, BCSA, ICONYC and Soundteller Records, Marcelo now returns to Just Movement with ‘New Land’.

Beginning with the title selection Marcelo explores the traditional sensibilities of progressive house. It’s galloping groove is warm, full and boundless, while dynamic claps and spacey arps add their own sense of rhythm and drive. The main break expands the musical narrative with cascading motifs uniting as a flurry of drums initiates a smooth finale.

The companion piece ‘Wisper’ comes in a touch deeper and more introspective. Following on from the fluid warmth of its predecessor this certainly sits in a similar sonic space. Once again it’s a storyboard of inviting arps which sets the tone across the first act. The main break brings further magic, with muted pianos and waves of noise sparking a drop of warm beats and phasing vocals. A gorgeous production from Marcelo which rounds out an exceptional return to Just Movement for the Argentinean artist.
